About Me

CURRENT MISSION

1. To see at least 10 percent of the total Tiger population in India. The current population I s 2200. I hope I can achieve this before the end comes, though I am more then hopeful that if we all make an effort, we have more then a fighting chance of saving Tigers , the most beautiful creature created by god :)

ABOUT ME

My name is Gaurav, though U can call me GOLU , which means round but i am no longer d way my nickname suggests :P :P Have been hosting foreign interns from various NGOs from almost 4 years now. N one thing abt me is i just LOVE TIGERS n I am on for going TIGER RESERVES any time of the year :P. My aim in life is to see as many Bengal Tigers as possible. I don't want to script my life just as most of them do, get a degree, get a job, start a family and then the end. I want to travel as much as possible, and through my photography make people believe and more aware as to how important nature is to survival. I'll do whatever it takes to make an effort to spread awareness about this beautiful stripped feline. Let's just say its a Die Hard Passion.

Enough intensity for now I guess ;) . Something about me now, I kind of love quite places instead of the partying ones. Loneliness also gives me some kind of peace and more time to know about myself. Absolutely love interacting n getting to know ppl, there culture, there way of life. Was a Wildlife photographer by profession n I really loved my Job n have so many stories abt my photography trips... Love spicy food n travelling. Favourite hobbies r wildlife photography, trekking, music, horseriding , have 5 horses at my Uncle's farm . I live in one the most beautiful parts of India, Udaipur, admist the arravli mountain ranges. Udaipur really glues you to its charm n remains one of the most romantic spots in India. I just love being a part of this beautiful city looking forward to meet some Beautiful people...

PHILOSOPHY

LIVE IN THIS VERY MOMENT COS U NEVER KNOW WHAT D NEXT MOMENT HAS IN STORE FOR YOU...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The experience thus far has been FANTASTIC !!! Exchanging views, sharing cultures n traditions, it has been Great. After being a part of CS, I have come to know how little I know about the world. I am a member since the last one year but not very active as I was busy with my photography assignments n stuff but now i am free from work n study n looking forward to host some lovely people at my place. Rajasthani people are known for their hospitality and warm welcome and my place is no different. Since the last 3 years i have been hosting foreign interns at my place who work with different NGOs in and around the city, so as a reason not new with hosting people.... So now open to more sharing experiences n Welcoming all the beautiful people from all over the globe :) :)

Interests

My only interest is to see as many TIGERS as possible. The remaining population of this big cat is estimated to be 1200 in the wild. So I want to see as much as I possibly can of the ROYAL BENGAL TIGERS.
