Overview
About Me
Hey there. I'm a laid-back and generally cheerful person. Usually I feel very comfortable with new people and enjoy diving into their microcosm. It's hard to keep me indoors when the sun's out and when it's not, I'll still find a good reason to socialize. But every now and then I also need my moments of contemplation and solitude.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend of mine told me about a similar project years ago (Hospitality Club - remember that one?) and once I had my first couchsurfing experience, it became addictive in a way. I've been out of the game for a while now though and just recently updated my account.
Interests
I'm a social person - my besties are like family to me and I love spending time with people I value. That may be cooking dinner, a chat on the balcony, or going to festivals together.
I love moving my body to music!
If it's not cold and wet outside I love outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and biking (not uphill though ^^). I spend quite some time cooking - it's relaxing to me. Plus I find it very rewarding, because I looove eating. Also: beer. Yum!

Music, Movies, and Books
Gioconda Belli is my favorite author. Aside from that I'm pretty inconsistent and open to suggestions.
Music-wise, anything with a nice bassline and a good feel for rhythm sets me in motion, inside and out.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After having seen different parts of the Amazon in the past, I finally crossed the Amazon forest by boat last year (Ecuador to Brasil). While somehow depressing because the Amazon water level was at its historical low and the skies dusky from the smoke hundreds of km away, the journey itself was rewarding and beautiful.
Teach, Learn, Share
There's lots I still want to learn. Beginning with languages, playing instruments (ukulele, cajón, drums, bass...), dance styles, new recipes...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can hula hoop. Well, kind of... I'm still learning myself, even after years of practice. But whatever trick I know that you don't, I'll happily share it with you!
