About Me
** I am not accepting any guests right now since I live in a college dorm. Once I have my own house I would like to start accepting people!
Hello :) I'm Mayu. I was born and raised in Japan. I moved to Osaka to study at University that I've wanted to get in. Now I transferred into State University of New York at Albany, and I am junior studying accounting.
I would describe myself as an outgoing, friendly, spontaneous person, but i might be a shy at first, and I'm quite bad at directions haha
I like to travel, meet, talk, and get to know new people from all over the country.
I've been interested in traveling since I was 12 years old. And I have huge interest in English language as well :) And one of my dreams is to be a backpacker and travel all around the world once in my lifetime.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of backpackers that i've met told me about here and I thought this is such a great way to meet and know people that you would never expected to know.
I'd like to host someone but my house isn't big so I can't host more than one traveller. However, I can show you interesting places in Osaka :)

Now I am exchange & transfer students in New York
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Japanese in English, since I was teaching Japanese to exchange students at my home university.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Since I'm still a stranger in Osaka, I can't show you all over Osaka easily but I can help you to get to somewhere or explain something in English. (Let me remind you that I'm terrible at directions )
If you want me to cook some Japanese food I can cook easy ones for you :)
