Soy Maximo, me dicen Max y tengo 29 años. Vivo con dos compañeros de casa que a su vez son dos grandes amigos. Vivimos en un apartamento no muy grande, pero con una gran azotea y logramos hacer del lugar un espacio cálido y donde siempre esta presente la buena onda.

Actualmente estoy organizando un viaje en Febrero de 2018 a Chile, con el proposito de asistir a un festival de música que queda en Manquemapu al sur de Chile, (se llama Festival Nómade), y recorrer los alrededores de esa región del país y quizás parte de la Patagonia Argentina.

I am Maximo, my friends call me Max or Maxi, and i'm 29 years old.
I live with two friends, who fortunately are two great friends of mine. We have a tiny but warm apartment with a big rooftop, where the good vibe is always present.

I am currently organizing a trip in February 2018 to Chile, mainly to attend to a festival called Festival Nómade in Manquemapu, at south of the country.

Spread the best of myself. Unlearn senseless values and relearn to live in a more organic way. Break the boundaries that society has build between us that separate us of our true essence

ACERCA DE MI

Creo que nunca he dejado de autodescubrirme, por eso me es dificil definirme. Pero puedo decir que soy una persona curiosa y abierta a todo tipo de experiencia. Me gusta viajar, cocinar (y comer por supuesto), bailar, soy adicto a la música (de todo tipo). Uso la bici como principal medio de transporte y como forma de vida. Me gustan las charlas profundas y de las otras. Me gusta mucho el cine y todas las formas de arte. Me interesa mucho escuchar lo que las personas tienen para decir y sobretodo encontrar que pese a las aparentes diferencias culturales y sociales en el fondo tenemos mucho mas en comun de lo que pensamos.

Since i have memories i think i've never stopped self-dicovering, that's why it's difficult for me to define myself. But I can say that I am a curious person and i'm open to all kinds of experience. I like traveling, cooking (and eating of course), dancing, I'm addicted to music (of all kinds). I use my bike for commuting in the city, and as a way of life. I like the deep conversations and the other kind. I really like cinema and all forms of art. I am very interested in listen what people have to say, and i always end at the same conclussion that despite the apparent cultural and social differences, deep in our souls we have much more in common than we think.

Philosophy

Aprendí a vivir intensamente el momento presente al entender que ahora es todo lo que hay, a fluir como lo hace el agua. Esa es mi filosofía para vivir en sintonía con el universo. Creo que vivir conectado a esa frecuencia es la clave para la plenitud.

I learned to live intensely the present moment and understand that all that we have is now. I learned to flow as the water in the river. That is my philosophy to live in harmony with the universe. I think that living connected to that frequency is the key to fullness

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had two experiencies as a surfer during a trip around Europe in 2014 and it was all that i was told about this community: genuine exchange of experience, selflessly giving, solidarity, friendship, fun, etc..
As a host i've been hosting indirectly some surfers at my home in Montevideo and they were very pleasant experiences, i've met very nice people.

Tuve un par de experiencias como couchsurfer durante un viaje a Europa que hice en 2014 y confirmó todo lo que me habían contado sobre comunidad: verdadero intercambio de experiencias, entrega desinteresada, solidaridad, amistad, diversión, etc.
Como anfitrión he estado hospedando indirectamente a algunos viajeros en mi casa en Montevideo y fueron experiencias muy agradables, conocí muy lindas personas.

Interests

I'm a photographer and I often work on it. I enjoy it a lot. I am really interested in do something relate to music, maybe being dj-ing or producer.
I am interested in enviromental issues and anything that focuses on the well being of the planet we live.
I like to talk a lot about outer space, quantum physics, make theories about the origin of everything and that kind of fascinating matters.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: a few of my favorites: Eternal Sunshine, The Lives of Others, Into The Wild, Waking Life, and a long etc. Woody Allen, Lars von Trier, Tarantino, Michel Gondry, Richard Linklater.
Music: i'm really into electronic music (Techno, House, Deep House, Minimal, Progressive), rock (some of my fav are Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Interpol, Kashmir, Boards Of Canada, etc, etc... Also Jazz, classical, exotics genres. I like to dance in deep conection with the music.
I also like to explore all kinds of musical genres.
Books: some distopic novels like Brave New World, Orange Clockworck, 1984, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Tomar el tren cremallera hacia la cima del monte Jungfrau en los Alpes suizos y llegar a la estacion mas alta de Europa a 3500 mts de altura. Una experiencia increíble.
-Viajar 300 km en bicicleta con un amigo desde Montevideo hasta Barra de Valizas (costa este de Uruguay) en tres días

-Take the train to the top of Jungfrau on the Swiss Alps and arrive to the highest trainstation of Europe at 3500 meters above sea level. An incredible experience.
-Made a 300 km bike trip with a Friend form Montevideo to Barra de Valizas (on the beatiful east cost of Uruguay) in 3 days.
