Overview
About Me
I'm Maz, born in Paris, originally from Congo and based in London. I am a DJ, NGO Founder, I love any kind of creative endeavours. I am a dreamer, determined to dream further and bigger than what people like me are told! I love somatic practices and sports. I often skateboard, swim, do yoga, go on walks etc. Though I really don't like walking so I keep learning to ride things on wheels like skateboards, roller skates, motorbikes, cars etc. maybe a plane soon? I loooove travelling and meeting new people, cultures, communities. I love discovering myself through people's perspectives and lives. I don't believe in borders.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I highly value the human connection that we are able to build through a space like couchsurfing when the connection isn't transactional it leaves space and makes it way easier to make friends & communities when travelling! I also loooove people, making genuine connection, share and helping others which couchsurfers often relate too! The best way to discover a place is with locals. I love hosting when I can and showing people around my area, the way I live, the food I eat. Finally, through knowing the way local lives it is easier to have a more conscious travelling experience mindful of ethically support the region travelled to.
Interests
I love DJing, creating music, dancing, daily yoga, skateboarding, hiking, discovering new things, sleeping, doing nothing for hours, photography, cycling, the beach, making (average) jokes, raves, festivals, travelling, swimming in the rain, a sunny day, kinder country, 8 hours of sleep, coffee with condensed milk, peace in the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a lot of extraordinary adventures planned! But so far one of the most amazing thing I’ve done was my research project in Amani Nature Reserve in Tanzania, it taught me so much about life, selflessness, human connection, new culture, dropping stereotypes and also NOT TAKING ANYTHING FOR GRANTED. Being grateful and counting my blessings.
