About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Doing everything I can in 6 months.

ABOUT ME

I like to read, maybe too much, or maybe not enough. I write. I write. I play loads of cribbage and chess. I can tell between a southern German dialect vs. a northern. I love Olympia. I have just started running. I like music with no vocals. and Radiolab is my favorite podcast ever. Also This American Life is pretty damn good too. I sing karaoke and know that the word translates literally to "dead orchestra." I write. I read. I write. I do lots of school stuff that probably isn't necessary. David Foster Wallace is my god. I enjoy beer. I revel in conversing. I create black holes with my tangential speech patterns. I elude the police. Ideas ignite in my head and they rarely settle down long enough for me to actually put them into action (if action is what it requires). I am romantic in regards to life. I like to think this about myself anyways...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By offering my couch/roommate's rooms and by trying to show everyone what an amazing place Olympia is.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done my fair share. I mean I lived in a barn once. I guess that technically isn't a couch.

I have met a lot of travelers that use this site, never hosted one due to previous lack of couch, but everyone I've met has been amazing, thus I am assuming this site must be pretty amazing.

Also have met some real incredible people via cocuh surfing. Went on a trip in Nuremberg with a huge group to some caves, went to the monday meetings, etc. Great time. Helpful with traveling alone.

Interests

Books. Talking. Running really fast across the street when cars are coming. Talking to the homeless. Listening to stories/ideas/projects. Looking up (people don't do this enough). Expounding upon a random thought until someone tells me I should stop talking. Craft beer. Looking at art. Attempting to make art. Writing. Writing. Books. People. Ideas of truth. Philosophy. Anything that exudes passion. Passion itself. The word "unique" employed properly. The word "defenestration" employed in a conversation or in a tangible sense. Jazz. Jazz. Jazz. Annihilating time. etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hope that I am constantly doing something amazing, and seeing something that I always want to be seeing. This is not a backwards way of saying that I haven't done anything amazing--because I have. This is really really what I hope for.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can correct your grammar. Also, I retain the secret and arcane knowledge of conversation without an iphone.
