À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

Road trip Across America

ABOUT ME

Blair - Currently I am living in San Diego with my husband Marcos. We are both into live music, especially the metal/jazz variety, but we love all kinds of rock & roll. So if music is something you are into, we definitely know where to go and can let you know what shows are going to be in town when you visit. My husband brews his own beer, and it is not uncommon for us to head out to a local Brewery. (For those who do not know, southern California is the craft beer captital of the country.) We bike, run, and try to stay active, so if you are into more active stuff we can help you there too. We go out to bars, check out the local festivals, go to comedy shows, etc. Basically, my husband and I are up for everything. My work is right next to the famous San Diego zoo, along with all the incredible museums, so if that interests you it will be very easy to accomodate. We are very adventurous people, who are going to want to do what you want to do. Couch surfing is a way for us to get out and explore our home even more, while helping others enjoy it too.

Marcos - I love to travel and go anywhere at a moments notice. I love music a lot. Guitar is my passion. I like going to concerts every chance I get. Gypsy Jazz, Punk, Black/Death Metal, Indie, Classic Rock. I really appreciate bands that are original and have potential to influence others. I love tasting different beers every chance I get, Guinness is mothers milk to me. I'm really laid back, open to different ideas and people.

PHILOSOPHY

Home will never change. It will always be there. My Mother always told me, "Go out and see the world, while you still can. You're young, no reason to settle down, and when you're ready to come home, we'll be right here waiting for you. Same as when you left." Everyday I've been away I've tried my best to listen.

Home is where the heart is, and my heart is indecisive.

So stop saying I'll do it one day. The majority of people who say that, never do it. They miss out on opportunities that may never come back around. With a little time, effort and research, anything can be done now. So just do it. Cross it off your list. Life is too short to make excuses for why you didn't do something. Enough of saying you can't do this or can't do that. Stop making excuses for YOURSELF because in the long run, the only one who will suffer will be you.

If you have no shame, you can do whatever you like.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We used to only be surfers, but now for the first time in 2 years, we are able to host. So send in some requests! We are excited to get this started!

HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE!!! We get a lot of requests especially during the summertime, and we will do our best to help as many people as possible on their journeys. That being said, and you decide to contact us, you may get a maybe or it may take us a day or two to respond because we must make sure we plan ahead. This prevents double commitments, and allows us free time in between surfers to wash towels, sheets, blankets, etc, and prepare for our next surfer. Also, it gives us a chance to correspond with you and see we would be a good match for you! (example, we both work full time jobs, and maybe you are looking for someone who is off school for the summer.) We want everyone to have a good time and use couch surfing to the fullest. So please, be patient with us when requesting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We couch surfed for the first time in Summer 2011. It was some of the most fun we have had in our entire lives. We stay in touch with almost everyone we met then, and hope to keep all of them as life long friends. It was an amazing experience that definitely helped us both grow for the better.

We have recently started hosting, and so far it has been very exciting!
