ABOUT ME

Well, I'm a 23 year old female, currently living with a few roommates in Edmonton, AB
I'm really interested in travel, but because of school commitments I haven't traveled as much as I would like.
A few years ago, i went on a month long tour of some parts of Europe though, and that was pretty amazing. And for Christmas of 2010 I went to visit South Korea for 3 weeks and loved it more than anything else.
I'm currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree, with a biology major, hoping to go in to medical school soon.
I'm always interested in trying new things and meeting new people, which is part of why CS interested me so much.
There's no pets in my house, kinda makes me sad, but my roommates are allergic.

I love love love music, movies, and videogames, and I'm really quite a nerd at heart. I usually spend most of my time hanging out with friends, or playing on my computer.

and when i can afford it, i like to travel all over north america attending comic and pop culture conventions. <3

Movies- Boondock Saints, Memento, Hard Candy!!!, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Mirrormask, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Garden State, Sin City, Trainspotting, Fear and Loathing... I like movies that make you think.
TV- really enjoy the walking dead and supernatural right now. I really loved the show firefly, even though they canceled it in the first season, I love invader zim
Music- I like pretty much any genre of music... but right now i've been listening to a lot of Fischerspooner, Imogen Heap, Iio, Mindless Self Indulgence, Placebo, and Trentemollar. also have a crazy softspot for Dub FX. And after long nights out, i love Thievery Corporation, Shpongle, or Massive Attack
Books- I really enjoyed Blood Artists, and almost anything by Kathy Reichs, the His Dark Materials trilogy is another of my favourites, and also the book thief by markus zucherman

Shambhala! In Nelson BC, went 4 times between 2007 and 2010. A 10 000 person music festival in the middle of a beautiful valley for a week. Life-changing.

My time in South Korea made me fall in love with the culture even more than I thought was possible. I can't wait to go back.
