About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world, taste life, and breathe new air. Discover what I'm missing but don't know it.
ABOUT ME
I work as a commercial photographer, professional retoucher, and photo assistant. This keeps me out of trouble and under a roof.
Well...maybe just under a roof.
I'm an artist, photographer, philosopher, nomad, adventurer, dancer, survivalist, and explorer...really whatever I happen to feel like at the time. I'm better at some than others.
I enjoy discovering new people. Every one of them has a story to tell if you just open up and leave space for them to tell it. Each person is their own enormous universe, always fascinating.
PHILOSOPHY
Everyone deserves an ear, a shoulder, and a laugh. What this attitude will bring you can be astonishing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surf couches, build networks, encourage alternative methods of travel and living that will strengthen us as a group and as a civilization.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I recently spent a wild night tent-surfing at a new friend's property outside of Austin, TX. I was offered a spot in the 'spiderwood' if I felt like digging a very forlorn looking tent out of some bushes. Being the benevolent soul I am I proceeded to rescue that poor tent and spent a wonderful evening under the stars.
In high school I had the pleasure of travelling in Europe for 2 weeks. I stayed with several very nice people in the Netherlands and Paris, and got to experience so much more than if I had just stayed in a hotel. A dinner of hutspot followed by a tasting of the family's own distilled alcohol was awesome.
Interests
I pick up all kinds of new hobbies through the amazing people I've met. I love to dabble. I do have a few things that have held my attention, though; I take photos, paint and draw, go rock climbing (bouldering, specifically) when I have the chance, hiking, cycling till my legs fall off, acro yoga, pretty much anything physical. I love to listen to stories and spread them across huge geographic areas. I'm an adventurer at heart. Road trips are my home.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything the Dalai Lama writes and anything Trent Reznor plays.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a solo motorcycle trip from through the desert from Austin to L.A., then up highway 1 to San Francisco, then back through Nevada and Northern Arizona. Definitely the most incredible experience I've ever given myself.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've been an artist my entire life and work in the photo industry and paint, so I'll gladly share any experiences or stories I have from that wild ride.
