ABOUT ME
Young German/American with a lust for life, adventure, meeting new people and the great outdoors.
My interests span a wide variety of topics, from Craft Cocktails to Mountain Biking and Crossfit. I love traveling, innovative business ideas, Salsa, learning languages, and discovering and unlocking the potential in the people around me.
I'm super outgoing, personable and independent
PHILOSOPHY
âDreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives.â
-Dement
"He who rides a tiger cannot dismount"
- Chinese Proverb
"The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both."
- James A. Michener
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."
- Robert Heinlein
"Its a story about us, people, being persuaded to spend money we don't have on things we don't need to create impressions that won't last on people we don't care about..."
- Economist Tim Jackson on society and consumerism
âAuto racing, bull fighting, and mountain climbing are the only real sports ... all others are games."
- Ernest Hemingway
He's only 1/3 right, but hey, its a hell of a good start...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I Surf, Host & Meet people. Its been great so far...
My best experience to date was with a CSer in Switzerland. Never met her before in my life, but she invited me into her family's home like an old friend. Not every experience is like this, but these are the ones which make me want to be part of this community.

24 hour epic climb on the Diamond, Longs Peak, Colorado, USA. We were both hallucinating on the way down.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm continuously fascinated by the power of the human mind and the way it shapes our respective realities.
Practically, I've been climbing rocks for about 6 years (traditional, sport and bouldering). I'm always happy to share my enthusiasm for these activities, as well as how to do them without dying :).
Recently I've been learning and working a lot with the Craft Cocktail movement. The US is the birthplace of the cocktail, but thanks to prohibition the true art of the cocktail was lost here for many years, and only now is it making a comeback.
