ABOUT ME

I'm a farmer's son from small town Iowa. I went to school at the University of Iowa, and never got the travel bug until I decided to go to Europe for three weeks by myself in college.

My best life decision was to study abroad at the University of Iceland. The dream would be to try to learn it all, but really, I feel I could be content with just about anything as long as the people surrounding me have the same passion I do!

I've taught and traveled in Thailand, worked on a farm in Germany, and now live in Washington DC to work on finding a career!

PHILOSOPHY

Don't take anything to seriously, laugh, and leave drama at the door. Really, live however you want, as long as it's not damaging to others.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well when I didn't have a couch to provide, I would use it to get the real city experience from locals.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started using it in Iceland.
I used it when I drove out to Los Angeles.
I used it when I traveled to Colorado on vacation.
And I used it in Nuremberg during Christmas not only to surf but to meet other solo-travelers during Christmas.
Loved all four times!

Zainteresowania

I love to read, bike, rock climb, disc golf, and travel in my free time. I also love learning new things and talking to people that have a passion for something.

I'm also down to try anything new and unique in the kitchen!

Muzyka, filmy i książki

I love folk music. Anything with a natural voice and acostic guitar is all right in my book. Also drumming.

I'm also I gigantic fan of comedies: British, American, French, Movie, TV, Stupid, Smart. Doesn't matter to me; I love it.

I try to at least read a book a month and I think I've kept that up for at least three years...

Partied with Thai locals during their Buddhist lent...
Participated in a three-day, city-wide, water-fight...
Saw the world's largest tree and got to hug one in the top ten...
Got a massage from an elephant... twice...

I have a passion for astronomy, but I like to think I know a little about a lot. Growing up on a farm I could verse you in that, plus anywhere I've been, I could talk at length about, including most of SE Asia.
