Recent update: We can host one desperate student arriving to Helsinki now in autumn for a few days if you are waiting for your student housing to be vacant. We had a baby in the beginning of May so at the moment our small apartment is quite a mess. If you can live with that (the baby sleeps quite well at nights), you are welcome. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm willing to host travellers when I'm home and have the possibility to do that and when it's ok for my husband. When I'm travelling, I enjoy spending at least part of the time with local people to have a better understanding of the place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been a member of CouchSurfing since 2010 and hosted some nice people here in Helsinki. Before joining CS I had already been a member of Hospitality Club for 4 years. I had hosted a couple of people here in Finland and I had been hosted several times in France, Morocco, Latvia and Canada. A clear majority of these encounters have been very pleasant.

Interests

I love music: I sing in a female choir and occasionally play bass in a band. I'm also an enthusiastic ballroom dancer. I enjoy literature, theatre and comics and I really like knitting. I'm also very interested in learning new languages although the result might not always be so successful... At the moment I'm really into Game of Thrones (the TV series). :)
