Greetings from Istanbul!

First of all, I was born and raised in Istanbul (Not Constantinople), listen the song :). I kind of like this identity, being an Istanbulian/Istanbulite. I studied new media in college and work as a digital marketer (i help businesses to be more visible on Google). I'm a curious person and I love learning, basically anything. When it comes to food, I love taşfırın simidi (a particular type of Turkish bagel) and I like coffee.

I participated the Erasmus student exchange program and lived in Katowice, Poland 🇵🇱 for ~5 months (in 2022). During the exchange I studied at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School. Later (in 2023) I found myself again in Silesia, in Bielsko-Biała 🇵🇱, having an Erasmus+ Traineeship for 3 months.

I like to meet new people, get to know them and their culture. I try to eat like a local when I travel.

In 2019 summer (before the pandemic), I worked for the municipality as a voluntary tourism delegate, helped hundreds of foreigners visiting Istanbul. Also, I organized some English 🇬🇧 speaking events.

One of my future plans is to become a digital nomad and travel South America, that's why I'm learning Spanish 🇪🇸. I'm always down to talk about it or marketing and startups, social sciences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe in the power of cultural exchange (and crowdsourcing) and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. I'm a curious traveler who loves learning and immersing myself in local cultures. Through Couchsurfing, I have the opportunity to meet new people, share stories, and experience destinations from a local's perspective.
