To make the most out of my time in Boston

ABOUT ME

I'm a Physics student at Imperial College London with a passion for rock climbing, music and photography. I am spending the summer of 2013 at MIT, working in the Center for Ultracold Atoms. I'm a geek, but of the likeable kind, I hope.

In the ongoing craziness that is this summer, most of my free time is spent making the most out of my short time here – not only in terms of getting my project to work, but also to discover what it's really like to live here.
Back in London I try to go rock climbing as much as possible (which is limited to indoor climbing gyms for the most part, unfortunately), and from next year, keeping up with all the people that have graduated and left our little corner of the world for other places to work and learn.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed on two lovely couches in Chicago and New York in 2010 when travelling across the USA. I love the concept of openness that is so prevalent in CS and we are definitely hosting as soon as we have a flat next academic year.

Intereses

Music in almost every shape and size. Making music. Photography. Physics, especially lasers and optical atomic physics.

Music... Jazz, Indie, Progressive, Electronica. More or less something from everywhere. Bands like Dispatch, Dream Theater, Bonobo, Alin Coen, Anna Ternheim, Avishai Cohen, Muse, Jamie Cullum... I could go on for a while.

Movies: Children of Men, Waking Life, Coraline, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Zombieland, Harry Brown, In the Loop and more

Books: The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Lord of the Rings, everything by Juli Zeh, lots and lots of physics related stuff.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Although I had never left Germany for more than a month at a time, I moved to London to go to university. It was the best decision of my life and I enjoy every bit of it.
