About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to simply enjoy the rest of my time in Korea, do the trans-Siberian then off to teacher's college in Australia where I hope to become a teacher back in my native land of Canada
ABOUT ME
Well, I'm a pretty laid back person. Not much really bothers me. I enjoy being active, especially in sports such as hockey(imagine that a Canadian that likes hockey)and basketball. I also like reading, primarily history books(Yes, I realize how much of a nerd that makes me, but I am what I am). Since coming to Korea, I have fallen in love with the country, especially the food which is delicious. I have also fallen in love with teaching. I've always wanted to be a history teacher at the high school level, and I still do, but in Korea, I have been teaching primarily elementary level students English, and I love it and have picked up on a few pointers on how to be an efficient teacher.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live my life being as honest of a person as I can and always have a sense of empathy whenever you interact with another person, especially on cultural matters.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I recently attended an event in South Korea sponsored by couch surfers and I had a really good time. I met good people who have traveled all over the world, which has helped respark my interests in traveling. I can't offer much since I have a very simple apartment, but I can offer my services as a tourguide for the day in Korea, particularly in bundang or seoul. I will also be doing the trans-siberian sometime in the fall or winter of 2009, so I would like use this website to arrange a place to stay and get a chance to really experience these countries by meeting the local people, who I hear are just good, down-to-earth people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Again, I have done one event through here, a spa day at a hot springs, but I wish to join more events because it was a great time
