CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy life
ABOUT ME
After working for five years as an engineer and struggling to find the time for activities I have decided there is a better way. I've quit my permanent job to take a more minimal approach to life and do what I want to do. I got a lot of inspiration on a trip to Kauai where I spent 3 weeks hitch-hiking and hanging out with a friend. I'll never forget the amazing times we had and the great people we met along the way.
In the last 3 years I've taken extended trips to New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii and different parts of the US including San Francisco, Tahoe and Salt Lake City. I've learned that it is possible to find an alternative to the typical 1 week vacation approach.
And I'm always on the lookout for impromptu adventure, no matter how ill-conceived it may seem at first. After all, any place is just a place until you get into a little bit of trouble.
Currently I'm on another extended trip, this time thru Eastern Europe. I'm not exactly sure which places I will visit or when. But I'm fairly certain there is plently of unexpected ahead...
PHILOSOPHY
We're here to eat the sandwich (quoting Joe Rogan). Let's chew a bit slower and enjoy it more.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've couch-surfed numerous times on my trips and look forward to doing more. People are always welcome to crash at my place.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Often this is the best part of the trip. Sometimes cities are just cities without the right person to hang out with. It is one of the best ways I know of enriching my travel experience.
I've couch surfed in different parts of the US, Australia and New Zealand.

I currently listen to some reggae (Stick Figure, Pepper, Echo Movement, still love Sublime). I also like electronica/live instrument mixups like Trifonic, Trentemoller, Cirrus, Morcheeba, Zero7 and a lot of other trip hop varieties. My fav band is probably still A Perfect Circle. Some other artists I dig: SOAD, Guano Apes, Animals as Leaders, Joe Satriani, Steffen Schackinger, Silversun Pickups, Gordian Knot, some Gamalon. Pretty varied taste... In youth I listened to some metal/thrash - favorite bands being Light This City, Darkest Hour, Walls of Jericho, Unearth, Haste the Day, Killswitch Engage.
Algo increíble que he hecho

Total solar eclipse in Australia
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I guess I can teach you some Russian. Maybe how to mess around on the guitar. Or how to bunny hop on a bike :) Can make decent chilli beef stew as well.
Mostly what I want out of the experience is a new perspective on life. Having fun is a very close 2nd.
