About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've been living in Dublin, Ireland for a year and a half, and I work as an animation director for "Vampirina", a Disney animated Tv Show. I love hearing people's stories and their adventures around the world.

ABOUT ME

Well, *ahem* (clears voice)...I was born and raised in beautiful Florence, Italy. When i was 17, my family moved for a year to Vancouver. 365 days later they moved back, but I never did. I fell in love with Canada and with the feeling of positivity that I couldn't find in my home country. I enrolled in Film School (thanx mom and dad!) and ended up working as a storyboard artist at Cartoon Network. That didn't last. I had to go back to Italy to join the Army (it was mandatory at the time). After that, I became a full-on animator and worked all over Italy (Milan, Venice, etc), until one day I managed to go back to Canada, in Montreal to be precise. Montreal is definitely my favourite town in the whole world. After 5 years there, I ended up in south east Asia (Singapore) to work on the Star Wars tv show, and after that I kept traveling. After more working in Europe(Spain) and Asia (Indonesia), I moved back to Montreal. Are you still awake after reading this far? Well, I owe you a beer then! After working on a movie in Vancouver, I moved to London to work on big blockbusters, some good ("Jungle Book"), some not so much ("Tarzan"). I finally moved to Dublin where I am directing the animation for a new Disney show.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I feel like traveling is in my blood. It's nice to meet other "gypsys" from all over the world and learn their stories.

Interests

I like animation, drawing , movies, books (yeah I am a huge nerd) and sports. I like to go running and going to the gym to keep all those delicious burritos away . Most of all though, I like to meet new people and hear their stories!

Music, Movies, and Books

Depending on what I am drawing I listen to different music. Right now videogame soundtracks and Kendrick Lamar are on heavy rotation . I can't live without reading My favorite book in English is "The road" by McCarthy. Movies: too many to name, I love all of Fincher's movies and Spielberg is still the best pound for pound director alive. If you don't agree, let me know :)
