About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Still trying to figure out exactly what path I want to take. I know I want to do something that is fulfilling and related to art or history. I'd love to move back to NorCal or the Pacific Northwest.
ABOUT ME
For the past 2+ years, I have lived in Brooklyn and worked for the PBS concert program, Live from the Artists Den (we film concerts in non-traditional, often historic places across the US). Before that, I interned for NPR's All Songs Considered, studied History and Spanish at UCLA, and lived in Granada, Spain for 8 months (the best thing I've done yet in my life). I'm very proud to be from Sacramento, California's capital (Go Kings!)! I'm a very mellow, patient, low-maintenance, easy-going person. It takes a lot to annoy or upset me, and I'm a generally optimistic person.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat everyone with respect, take nothing for granted, always give people the benefit of the doubt, and just be happy with everything life has thrown at you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed in Dublin a few years back, and it was AWESOME! I'll definitely try it again, next time I travel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, I've only Couchsurfed in Dublin, but I had a blast, and am excited to Couchsurf some more!
Interests
Art: drawing, painting, going to art galleries
Music: I've played guitar since I was 10, and of course, I love listening to music and going to concerts.
Sports: I played soccer growing up and in high school and lacrosse in high school, but I'm also an avid sports fan. I worked in my university's radio station in the sports department, and continue to follow my favorite teams (Sacramento Kings-basketball, US National Soccer, and the UCLA Bruins-all sports).
Oh, and I love going to the movies, pets, and traveling and exploring new cities, of course!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Too many to list. I volunteered at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT in 2014 and hope to do so again. I see way too many movies and just love great films!
Music: I love almost every kind of music but mostly lots of indie stuff like The Arcade Fire, Sharon Van Etten, Laura Marling, The Swell Season, The Strokes, The Fleet Foxes, Adele, the list goes on and on. And, of course, I love the classics too and discovering new music.
Books: I'm always reading something. In the last few months, I finished Outlander, Gone Girl, Les Miserables, The Count of Monte Cristo, and Bleak House.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living in Granada, Spain for 8 months from 2009-2010. It was the best thing I've done yet in my life.
A close second is getting to intern for NPR's All Songs Considered at NPR headquarters in Washington, DC in 2011.
