About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore sustainability through educating, traveling, and filming.

ABOUT ME

I'm a slightly introverted guy, but love to listen to interesting people and enter into fascinating discussions. I graduated with degrees in Philosophy and Comparative Literature; both of which can be used to loosely describe me. While doing a sustainable construction internship in Utah, I got much more into rock climbing, and dabbled with mountain biking. I like fast ideas and loose convictions, but only every other week.

Why don't we get together and have ourselves a time.

PHILOSOPHY

What you're doing right now is the best possible thing you could be doing, because out of all the possibilities, you chose the current one, so no reason to fret about things you're not doing...generally.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been hosted many a time while I meander through my life, and hope that when I find a stable place to call my own I can return the favor. I also love spreading the couchsurfing word to suspicious border patrol guards.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed on a couch in Charleston, SC when I was on a sort of soul-searching road trip. Didn't happen to find my soul, but the road trip was great, and Charleston was a blast. Then proceeded to find the four presidents encased in stone while surfing along the way and had a jolly good time!

Only hosted once so far; would love to do so more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently it'd have to be a shopping experience in Cairo, Egypt. In picking out a hookah base on a shelf from one of the market vendors, another base came loose and shattered on my shoulder, cutting open two deep gashes on my hand. What resulted was a general freak out, in which a perfume vendor dumped instant coffee grinds on the cuts, put a piece of gauze and scotch taped the wounds. As the gauze turned a deep shade of red and it became clear that that wasn't going to do it, a random passerby brought me around to several pharmacies, who all turned us away, and then to a back alley doctor who proceeded to stitch up my hand whilst offering cigarettes to all those present.
