About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Use all of my spare time to travel!

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going person who loves meeting new people, having daily adventures and challenges. I don't settle for less. I enjoy dinner table conversations, I love going out and pa-pa-party! But I also enjoy staying home watching a movie with friends. One of my favorite things to do when I travel to a new place is go out and walk, know places, have a conversation with the waiter/waitress that's serving me, take tons of pictures, watch the street artists perform and discover new paths.

PHILOSOPHY

"Siempre se Puede"

Interests

The little things we take for granted. I even do it most of the times, but I like to take a step back and watch, enjoy and be grateful for what I have. I love having daily adventures, as I said, and that means from the most simple things that could be going to class and do something I've never done before or learn something new up to getting dirt under my nails doing physical work or having an adrenaline rush.
Helping others also drives me through life. Community service, going to an elderly home and talking to them up to picking up trash in the slums of The Philippines.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I went to Tucson, AZ, me and the group I was travelling with (Up with People) went to Armory Park, a Community Center for the elderly. Our task was to keep them entertain for the day, so we did a mini-show with different songs and dances from all around the world, and also an international fashion show followed an international trivia. There was a lady, Mrs. Hettie, who was very engaged and won the international trivia. The price was to try on a traditional Mexican dress and me showing her some moves. Afterwards we all went to watch the mini-show and finish for the day.
For us it was another day that passed by, one more project, one more city. When we arrived to Tacloban, PH, one of our cast members received an e-mail from one of our staff members that stayed back in Tucson:

"The director, Robin saw me, pulled me aside, hugged me and almost instantly started crying. She thanked me over and over again for what we did at Armory Park and then came her story...The night before we arrived at Armory Park Robin picked up one of the seniors, Hettie, from a behavioral health center and let her stay at her house for the night. Hettie was on suicide watch and talked a lot about wanting to end her life. Hettie came to the international fashion show with Robin and had a fantastic time! She won international trivia and got to try on and twirl around in the Mexican dress. She couldn't stop smiling or talking about the international people who made her feel so special and loved. She stayed to watch the mini performance and afterwards said that we made her day and she couldn't believe what she would have missed had she taken her life the night before. She said: 'My life has totally turned around."

It's amazing how the smallest of our acts can change someone's life.
