ABOUT ME

All I want in life is to experience as much as I possibly can and leave every experience having made a positive impact on my environment and the people I shared it with. My dream is to travel the world, working with and networking the thousands of small organizations all doing what they can to make a difference. What that means for me now, as a low-income college student, is that I spend most of my time itching to travel but not being able to. So joining couchsurfing, to me, is my way of engaging in the traveling world so that I may meet people from all over the globe, and make stronger connections during the minimal amounts of travelling that I am able to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When my boyfriend and I travelled around Europe for a couple of months, we relied heavily on couchsurfing and loved it! Our best experiences were those we shared with our hosts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've have unfortunately never hosted through couchsurfing, but I have done quite a bit of surfing myself. I've stayed with wonderful people through out Europe, all the way from down in Freiburg to up in Stockholm, and many cities in between. I have never had a negative experience and want to give back as much as I can when I am home.

Interests

My primary interest is activism, but I also played competitive volleyball for 12 years, and I love acting, telling stories, and making people laugh.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love book series and everything to do with magic. So of course, I am an obsessive Harry Potter fan! :)
I also love Jane Austen and other period pieces. I'm fairly easy to please when it comes to literature or media. My boyfriend is in a band and is always introducing me to new music, and so far there isn't much I haven't liked! I'm a pretty open-minded person in general so I am easily entertained.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ah, to choose one! I have been so fortunate to have done and seen so many amazing things in my life it is so hard to choose. My favorite place I've been is Senegal, on the west coast of Africa, where I worked with a nonprofit called 10,000 girls. It was an experience like non other before. The people, the culture, the food, everything is still so clear in my mind yet indescribable with words!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love telling stories and making jokes and as a on/off vegan and health nut, I know a lot of recipes and am fairly good in the kitchen. I would love to make food with or for my hosts!
