I spend most of my free time hiking, exploring the Pacific Northwest, reading, and trying new restaurants. I am passionate about experiencing local culture wherever I go, whether that's trying new food, viewing art, attending a musical performance, or simply getting lost in city streets.

Lately, I've most enjoyed listening to Wet, SOHN, Jose Gonzalez, The Decemberists, and Vancouver Sleep Clinic, with a sprinkling of Death Cab for Cutie, Neutral Milk Hotel, and SOAK.

Favorite books include Suite Francaise, The Book Thief, the Harry Potter series, and To Kill a Mockingbird.

As for films, Wes Anderson's visual style has been a favorite for several years. I also love anything by Miyazaki, especially Princess Mononoke. 2014 has been my favorite year for movies so far, with films like Whiplash, Birdman, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Her. Meru for an adrenaline rush.
