ABOUT ME

I am a very thoughtful and open-minded person. Moreover, I am always willing to help out a friend, and am easy to get along with. As a traveling partner, I am adventurous and up for anything, although I have a tendency to wander off by myself. The ways people order their lives, perform their identities, and interact with others fascinates me, and I see no better avenue for discovery than adventure. I am currently travelling in Europe with my business and life partner for her 30th birthday!

I am so thrilled to have discovered CouchSurfing! I appreciate interactions with as many different humans as possible, and both hosting and surfing will be a part of my future.

Interests

I love playing rugby and soccer, hiking, climbing, camping, learning, laughing, and traveling. Film and music are at the top of my list (from Kurosawa to Tarantino, bluegrass to hip hop). I love being in the wilderness, being in the city, being in the country, being in the middle. I try to live in a welcoming space open to punctuation by the moments that reach out and grab me. I've been lucky enough to have these moments find me all the time!

Teach, Learn, Share

I studied sociology, history, political theory, and social policy at University, and am always happy to provide my perspective to anyone interested in these fields.
I love playing rugby, and am always excited to share it with others.
I am from a pretty lovely state, Michigan, and love sharing my knowledge of it.
I have a decent knowledge of craft beer from the United States, and particularly the state of Michigan. Also, I can mix a tasty cocktail or two.
I love learning from others, and at the moment am particularly interested in rock climbing, the Spanish language, and hidden gem camping, hiking, and traveling destinations in Europe.
