About Me
Let's start with the rude, crude and dirty, but necessary shoutouts:
PLEASE DON'T SEND US MAIL TO ASK US FOR GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ICELAND/TOURS/RESTAURANTS/NIGHTLIFE AND SUCH. GOOGLE IT! ALSO: GENERAL REQUESTS WILL RESULT IN GENERAL ANSWERS.
We're a couple with an eight years old kiddo (Járngerður), living in Downtown Reykjavik, Iceland. We're close to everything. The male specimen is a brewer and the female teaches music at a grade school. Our days are sometimes quite scheduled, but we might find some time to hang and show you around.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We used to be superhuman hosts (since 2007) but have slowed down a bit. But we do love to share with others.
Our belief is that sharing is the holy grail of the human condition, hence our greatest pleasure is sharing our home, sharing dinner and engaging in lively conversations with travellers from around the globe.
We have been active on couchsurfing since 2007 and have the old-school badges to prove it. :) We're "old dogs" in a sense and don't see a point in keeping score any longer so usually we'll add a friend on this website or leave a reference only when asked or to reciprocate. It's not that we don't want to, it's just that we don't have the urge to 'collect them all' any longer. :)
Interests
He: Beer, boardgames and bullshit.
She: Music. Also linguistics, knitting and other hand crafts, traveling.
Both: We used to be really active in the Lindy Hop scene here, we were the founders among a few others. So occasionally we'll go Lindy Hopping a bit.

Music, Movies, and Books
Life is the greatest virtual reality entertainment system of them all.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
He: I'll have to start somewhere: Seeing fireflies for the first time really was an experience to me. Iceland is so empty with life in comparison to the equatorial countries that this really made my day.
She: (and he, actually) gone swimming beneath a waterfall in a rainforest of the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Becoming an aunt at 16. Gone walking in a bamboo-forest in China. Seen Reykjavík downtown fill up with people, mostly women, to celebrate women's rights. Lived in a co-operative household for four months. Had a baby.
He, addendum: Yeah. Having a kid is trippy.
