ABOUT ME

Sensible and down-to-earth, I think actions speak more than words, which usually don't say anything at all. (NOTE: to make sure people are reading this and not just shooting couch requests, in your request please state "I've seen God and he is Venezuelan." Only then will I reply :)

PHILOSOPHY

Expose yourself and you will be well-covered.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer all I have, but nobody seems to want it cause my girlfriend Anna gets all the couchsurfing requests cause she's prettier.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met some wacky couchsurfers while hitch-hiking to Florida, ended up hanging out with them for awhile and finding out about the project. Have surfed and hosted at home and abroad, and enjoyed each time!

Interests

Recreational endeavors: surfing, kiting, snowboarding, basketball, diving; anything that gets the adrenaline flowing. Playing Robinson Crusoe barefoot and shirtless, getting as close to nature as I can. Reading quality shit, studying whatever interests me at the moment, that currently being linguistics and intl. comparative education, mostly.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many. Kurt Vonnegut is a funny dude. Alexander Supertramp is a real inspiration. Neil Young is the last hippie. Zeppelin got me through college, barely.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Started hiking the Grand Canyon when I was about 7. Surrounded by massive sea mammals miles out in the Sea of Cortez on a 12 foot panga, without a life jacket. Built a yurt and a pyramid on my family's land on the slopes of Hualalai, Big Island of Hawaii. Pedaled 3000 km across Europe. And, most incredibly, taught high school science.

Teach, Learn, Share

Wanna learn English? Spanish? Physics or chemistry? How bout ecology? Pick up your pencils. Or show me life through your eyes. I'm in pursuit of knowledge, not facts. Just want to experience and share.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Denmark, Fiji, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Portugal, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Costa Rica, Italy, South Korea, United States
