I have many varied interests including but not limited to history, geography, motorsport, playing music, film, improv comedy, folk dancing, gaming and event organizing. There should not be any lack of topics to talk about and there are certainly cool spots around town I could show.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling around in strange places on my own is one of the great pleasures of my life. I'm not able to partake in this activity currently so why not bring one of the key parts of travelling to me in the form of meeting interesting people.

Interests

My interests have always been rather wide in scope. I could talk endlessly about films, TV shows and music that I like, interesting periods of history, comedy, motorsport.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is just as varied as my interests in general but with more focus towards rock music. Among others I listen to Poets of the Fall, Three Days Grace, Heart, Rodriguez, Depeche Mode, RHCP. More so there are a ton of artists from whom I only listen to a song or two, as a random example Jean-Michel Jarre's Oxygene IV is among my favourite pieces of music.

Same applies to movies, having seen over a thousand of them it is hard to choose those that stand out. Among my favourites though are Inglourious Basterds, About Time, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Rush, The Shawshank Redemption

My favourite book is probably To Kill a Mockingbird. All Quiet on the Western Front is up there too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Kyrgyzstan to teach English for 6 weeks despite being absolutely terrified of public speaking and then after than starting to do improv comedy was pretty amazing from my point of view.

Then again so was going from never having danced to performing on live television with a hundred other dancers at a folk dance festival in just 9 months.
