ABOUT ME

Shawn from USA, Stephen from Ireland & Kian born 12/14/2010 in USA. We met & married in Amsterdam where we lived & worked for 4 years. We moved to Africa where we stayed in J'Bay, South Africa for 2 years. Moved back to Shawn's hometown of Charlotte, NC, USA in 2004 with a variety of experiences here over the past 15 years.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A friend told me about this website so I decided to check it out. We hosted quite a bit until we had our son and ran out of room in our house. We had some of the richest experiences with our guests and thankful for such a platform that exists.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fantastic! We have had several come to stay with us and each one a unique and tremendous experience sharing our cultures and learning about others' way of life. We have surfed with two as well and had a lovely time being welcomed into their everyday lives.

Music, Movies, and Books

We love foreign movies or those with an artistic twist. Shawn will read anything that has to do with other countries & cultures,prefer classical music or soft beats. Stephen loves the outdoors, being active and both LOVE intriguing conversations. Kian loves people and making them laugh.

Taj Mahal, Victoria Falls, trek the Himalayas, white water rafting the Zambezi, changing bandages on a leper in India
