ABOUT ME
I'm in search of interesting people and new adventures.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that the people with whom you surround yourself determine who you will become, so I make it a point to search out brilliant humans with big dreams and unique stories
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm happy to host or meet up -- after years of small spaces and many housemates, I finally have a (kinda comfy?) sofa and an awesome neighborhood that I'd love to share. Let me know if you're traveling to the Vancouver area!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Many of my CouchSurfing travels have been with my partner, Charlie. My favorite adventure involved a couch in Napa: we had big plans to see the wineries and learn about the grapes, only to find that our host--who worked at Mondavi--knew just about everything about vineyards. Did you know that overripe grapes lead to an almost jammy-tasting wine? Or that Franzia, for all its faults, has earned the respect of many wineries for its remarkable ability to provide consistent flavor? Over pizza and beer (irony!), I learned all that and tons more about a fascinating field. Thanks, CS!
Interests
Food, people, magical realism, food, confusing foreign films, urban agriculture, shows that you expect to be indie pop but that turn out to be performance art, social justice, mathematics, urban exploration. Really all of the things.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love books within which sardines fall from the sky and books whose heroines discover hidden worlds, whether gardens or planets.
My favorite movie insult is "vous ne risquez pas d'être un légume, puisque même un artichaut a du coeur."
I have a penchant for the Doctor. If I was a companion, I'd be Martha Jones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I could, at one point in my life, debone a rabbit. It's a skill I hope to recover.
Teach, Learn, Share
I once spent three months on a swiss biohof. In order to befriend the other farmers (all 40+ years older than me), I learned to yodel. I would be happy to share.
