About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Remain in travelling mode all of the time
ABOUT ME
I'm a PhD Student in African Politics and Political Theory and a partner at a small consultancy firm. Also a music nerd and an ex-computer programmer. I like puns a lot.
PHILOSOPHY
"When in doubt, leave the country."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host and surf, used to organize a weekly pub night in Montreal, but have been travelling since April 2011, so I kind of let that slide...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted, surfed across Europe and Africa and met some great people at our weekly pub night - I can't wait to get back to Montreal to start that up again!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Slaughter House 5, The Odyssey, If on a Winter's Night a Traveler, Deep in a Dream: The Long Night of Chet Baker, The Man in the High Castle, Plato's Republic. Anything by Saramago or Hemingway.
Music: David Bowie, Loney Dear, of Montreal, Bauhaus, Chet Baker, Jenn Grant, Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, Titus Andronicus, Bright Eyes, Plants and Animals, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, A Silver Mount Zion, Final Fantasy, Arcade Fire, Basia Bulat, Devendra Banhart, The Clues, The National, LCD Soundsystem, Fuck Buttons, Coil, Sondre Lerche's first two albums. I could honestly go on for pages here...
Movies: If I had my way, all movies would be based on Philip K. Dick stories. I like bad science fiction, stupid comedies (Role Models, Zoolander, Old School), documentaries and any movie that has a soundtrack that makes the movie/makes the movie better.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Worked in Morondava, Madagascar teaching doctors how to use computers. Managed to lose both my bank cards while travelling in South Africa and still survive. Put my feet in three oceans on one trip.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach political science, and I actually enjoy teaching political philosophy. Plato to Foucault, I'm your man. I can also teach bad guitar, mediocre dj-ing, better cooking, and a thing or two about Scotch. I am also a computer programmer, if you're looking for some marketable skills.
