To spend this obligation-free time in my life learning, growing, sharing, seeing and participating.

ABOUT ME

Up until just recently I was a student, but have since finished my undergrad with a BA in English. I grew up in the same city I was born in, so I haven't experienced nearly as much of other cultures as I would like, but I'm currently working on amending that.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to avoid regretting anything in life, because as long as you learn something from an experience then it was worth having.

Interesses

I enjoy finding the little out-of-the-way places that the majority of people don't know about. I love going to shows, both concerts and movies. Food...of all kinds. I'm no cook, but I'd love to learn. I'm willing to try most anything at least once.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Books: The Gargoyle, Let Me In, Wuthering Heights, Fifth Business, House of Leaves, Lolita, etc. I really enjoy King's Dark Tower series, as well as many works by Donne, Thomas, Shakespeare, Sedaris, Hughes and others.

Movies/T.V.: I don't watch much television, but I did make it a point to record Lost, It's Always Sunny, Community and Top Chef. In regards to films my tastes are a little bit broader, including Pan's Labyrinth, The Orphanage, Repo!, Sin City, most of Wes Anderson's work, Donnie Darko, Clockwork Orange, Red Riding, Zoolander, anything Jim Henson, American Beauty, Memento, Moulin Rouge, 28 Days Later, classic Disney, Children of Men, Hot Rod, Grandma's Boy, Seven Samurai, Ran, The Room, etc.

Music: I try to keep an open mind when it comes to music. That being said, I tend to avoid modern country, hardcore and metal. Stuff I'm listening to right now includes Josh Ritter, Kings of Leon (their older work), Arctic Monkeys, Rilo Kiley, Mason Jennings, Say Anything, Ludo, Matt Costa, The Features, Pale Young Gentlemen, Vampire Weekend, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Black Keys, Raconteurs, New Pornographers, Belle and Sebastian, White Stripes, The Kills, Cat Stevens, Franz Ferdinand, Mumford & Sons, Dead Weather, Cold War Kids, Rogue Wave, We Are Scientists, etc.

For me, I feel like this is the start of an amazing chapter in my life. I'm sure that over the next several months, I'll have many things to put in this section.
