ABOUT ME

I care. I want to help people and do worthwhile things with my life. I want to travel everywhere and meet people and share stories and learn and grow from the diversities and the similarities of humanity...
I love to read and write and to think. I recycle. I'm a vegan and I love chocolate & coffee. I like to get things done. I'm interested in Buddhist philosophy. I like finding connections between everything. I love my friends and family. Music is good, television mostly corrupt... I'm a worrier. I'm silly. I have a love/hate relationship with money. At home I'm a work a holic... I can get bored pretty easily because I like to be active doing things, it could be walking around outside and exploring or writing in my journal or talking with friends or even doing homework or a job. I run. I bike. I love swimming and dolphins are the coolest mammals. I am a dancer and I love, absolutely LOVE to dance. There is so much to say... I want to live more mindfully and take all my present opportunities and live it up!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live in the moment. To live mindfully and really appreciate the life I have, to take time to live and to understand that happiness is not a far off destination, but something in the here & now. Smile and laugh A LOT. Don't dwell on things or have unnecessary attachments, this is hard but helpful. I want to live by Gandhi's "be the change you wish to see in the world". It is important to be yourself and grow and change and build on experience. Love and be loved...listen to the Beatles : ) I try my best to live the "green" way, recycling, fair trade, reusable bags, less consumption, etc... Live simply, but socially active

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet people. Plain and simple. I want to show people around the best I can and in return be able to be shown around by other people. I want visitors to see their destination in a different light than the average tourist, I want to sit down and have a cup of delicious coffee or (mulled, hot wine) with them and talk. Building long lasting friendships and connections would be an added bonus too!
