My wife and I have 3 young kids. We are passionate about international travel and exploring different cultures, and one day would like to do some extended travel with our kids. We both believe that the privilege of travelling gives you an education that you can't find anywhere else. We also both believe in a style of travel that includes contributing, not just taking.

I've been to 5 continents so far, and I've just scratched the tip of the iceberg! I live in one of the greatest countries in the world (Canada), and would love to compare to see what it's like to live in another country someday. My first international trip without my family was to the Azores Islands in Portugal in 2007 to see an old neighbour of mine.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I absolutely love travelling and meeting new people. Something awakens deep within me when I set off for a new destination. My senses come alive as I take in the new sites, sounds, smells, people and customs. My curiosity about life reaches a peak, and I know I'm a better person. Couchsurfing has been an integral part of my travel experience, and I would recommend it to everyone. As I am able to, I would like to host couchsurfers at my own place in Canada.

I first heard about CS from some New Zealanders that I planted trees with in western Canada in 2008. The first time I tried it was in Europe between January and April 2011. My friends and I used it many times, and some of the most unique and special memories from that trip were all thanks to Couchsurfing. Now I am excited to introduce my wife to the world of Couchsurfing!
