About Me

CURRENT MISSION

This may seem obvious, but it is often overlooked: happiness (for wackiness sake's, :P!)

ABOUT ME

I am a classic Third Culture Kid, being raised by American missionaries all over Africa. Currently, I am studying at Princeton University, as well as working on various projects around campus. My current work is in database design. Before beginning my studies last year, I took an 18-month gap-year that had me working and living in Cape Town, some Western European countries, and cities on both coasts of USA. This is when I first encountered CS, and the community resonated profoundly with the purpose of my gap-year.

PHILOSOPHY

Philosophies of interest (not strictly or at all supported by myself): determinism - everything that happens would have inevitably happened so there is no need to worry about it, naturalism - everything that exists can be proven to exist using the scientific method, Nietzsche's uberman - perception is reality thus ultimate knowledge of the mind leads to ultimate control of reality, desirism - the desire of a human is sacred, and should only be interferred with if its results restrict another human's rights

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the time-being, I will contribute to CS by spreading the word and being an exemplary surfer in order to encourage hosts to continue playing that crucial role in this community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

An incredibly fulfilled (even life-changing) experience was had by both myself and a gentleman who hosted me in NYC. It has been over a year since, and we are still very much in contact. Such a relationship exemplifies how CS can make its ambitious long-term goals a direct reality in its members' lives.
The couple other experiences were consistently positive and diverse.

Interests

Literature, politics, writing, TRAVELING, sociology, philosophy, comouter science, entrepreneurship, communicating with and understanding people, challenging my assumptions and occasionally those of others.
