About Me
Hey I'm Mea, I'm from Australia and have recently started traveling around South America! My friend Tina and I have been traveling for 3 months now and only just got into this so we are very new! This trip has been a dream for so long and now that's it's actually happening I could not be happier! I love traveling, learning about new cultures and just getting to know a place really well. I like to think that I am responsible but I'm always the first to say "one drink won't hurt" and always seem to be the one dancing like a lunatic on the dance floor, sometimes on my own. Now when Tina (my travel buddy) and I are together, one drink generally turns into a massive night with us staggering home at 8am in the morning just in time for breakfast. On the flip side a night in with wine, cheese and movies, I find just as enjoyable!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friends recommend it to me so I thought I would give it try. I know it's a great way to meet locals and get another perspective of new places. I just love meeting new people and getting to know a new a city. Also locals always know the best places to go out and eat!
Interests
I love the beach! I feel at home when I'm on the beach reading my book and swimming all day, add a coffee to that and I swear nothing could be better.
Music and a night out is also one of my favourite things to do. Just letting go and not having to worry about anything especially at festivals is an amazing feeling.
I get lost in my books, reading is something I do to get away and relax. When I'm really into a book nothing else gets through, my friends always say it's unless to even try and talk to me because I don't notice their presence.
Most of all I absolutely love spending time with my friends, be it over coffee, a night out or dinner at home with too much wine and lost of laughs.
AlsoI love sport, watching any sport I always find entertaining....with the exception of lawn bowls, can't seem to get behind that one.......
Lastly coffee. It is my addiction and a massive part of my life. Every morning if I don't have one I feel incomplete! My friends will be the first to say I'm obsessed and also always on the hunt for a good cup of coffee. If there is one to be found I will find it or at least I'll drag Tina all around South America to do so

Music, Movies, and Books
Can't watch scary movies unless I'm planning on not sleeping for a week! Others I'll watch anything from comedy to kids movies!
Adventure books are my favourite current favourite is The Magicians Apprentice, could not put it down!
Ill listen to anything from old 80s pop, Bob Marley, Eminem to deep house and trance!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Quit my job and started traveling indefinitely!
Just did the Salkantay trek! One of the hardest things I've done to date.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share some funny and stupid stories and whole bunch of laughter.
I can teach you how to dance like me aka with no care as to how people my judge you!
I would love to learn about you and what you have to share.
What I Can Share with Hosts
What I can offer is easy conversation, heaps of stupid travel stories and lots of laughs. I have a tendency to just say the first thing that comes to my mind no matter how dumb it is and I seem to always have my friends in hysterics! I also love to cook so if you'd let me I'll try and make something edible
