About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I move in water, shore to shore; Nothing's more...
ABOUT ME
After working for a few years as a court reporter, I decided to go back to school to try to find something that challenged me a little more. It was probably the best decision of my life and really opened my eyes to what else there is in the world. I might end up being an eternal student. Now I work for the City of Toronto and attend school full-time (thank you, Union).
PHILOSOPHY
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.” - Kurt Vonnegut
“Let us read, and let us dance; these two amusements will never do any harm to the world.” - Voltaire
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
The couchsurfers allow me to travel vicariously through them, so I love it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love to host when I can, and tried surfing when I went to Iceland, met some amazing people in Chicago through it. I will definitely try it on any future trips. It's an amazing idea and has allowed me to meet new people who are open-minded and positive.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: In Bruges, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Trainspotting, Days of Heaven, The Red Shoes....anything with zombies....anything really terrible....
Music: This varies depending on mood. Old classics like Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Bruce Springsteen (is he old classic now?). New bands like Neon Indian, the xx, Cat Power, Arcade Fire, Asaf Avidan, and a lot of local stuff (Toronto has a great scene). Nothing beats dancing all night to some good techno or house and making strangers into friends.
Books: The Mandarins, Cat's Cradle, Memoirs of a Survivor, Unbearable Lightness of Being, etc, etc, etc. Again, always open to new suggestions.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Revisited an old windmill in Amsterdam from when I was little, fell in love with Strasbourg, saw a 300 BC pyramid in Lima, just about everything in Iceland was amazing, attended a music festival in Quebec which was incredible.... Will continue to add to this list....
