About Me

Hi, I'm Meg
I'm a fairly laid back and friendly person. I prefer outside to inside, I'm down to try (almost) anything once, not a big partier but happy to share a couple beers while we get to know each other.
You don't need to worry about a big mess being left behind or being kept awake while I'm around; I'm a clean, quiet and respectful guest. I like to cook and I think I'm pretty good at it. Eating together is a great way to save money and spend time together so I often cook for my host at least. I'm happy for company but I'm perfectly fine to head out on my own as well if you're busy. I'm happy to help out in any way that I can while I'm a guest in your home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I often travel alone and its nice to be able to meet new friends and spend time with locals. I think I'm a little too old for the hostel crowd; I value my sleep waaay too much and would rather spend my afternoons outside exploring than sleeping off a hangover. Couchsurfing allows me the opportunity to see where ever I am the way a local sees it and to get a good feel of the vibe of the community.

I'm a big believer in paying in forward. Unfortunately I haven't had the kind of living space yet to be able to offer a bed as a host, but many have been kind enough to open their doors to me. My years abroad would have been vastly different if it had not been for couch surfing, and I'm grateful for the people I've met and experiences I've shared because of it.

If you've got a friendly dog in your house I'll be the happiest person you've ever seen.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all genres of music, movies and books...as long as it's entertaining and creative I'm not very picky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to see a whale shark on my 4th scuba dive! Ok, it had nothing to do with me, but it was still amazing.
