ABOUT ME

I am curious about everything, I enjoy learning about people, culture, art, cinema, music. I love meeting new people, a good conversation, sharing a good meal, fresh air, connecting with people, nature, places. I try to live my life in a simplistic way and do my best to tread lightly. To take the time to enjoy where I am here and now, and shed myself of the all the stuff (or unnecessary garnishing as I call it :) ) that we are told we need in life.

Don't spend your time asking
"Why isn't the world a better place?"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately due to work, family and housing circumstances I haven't been very active in the couch surfing community in recent years. I am very keen to met up with fellow cs members as I explore Europe this year.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First joined the couchsurfing community while living in Bangkok. I was able to host people there.

Interests

I am passionate about travelling, meeting new people and learning all I can from them.
I am interested in living my life as simply as possible and reducing the impact my lifestyle has on the environment.

Music, Movies, and Books

Huge movie nerd, love sci fi, Australian films, comedies. Massive Wes Anderson and Joss Weddon Fan. Hard to pick a favourite film, but if I had to narrow it down to one - Stranger Than Fiction
Eclectic taste in music cant go past the beetles, also a huge fan of The Beautiful Girls, The Waifs, John Butler Trio, Angus and Julia Stone and Laura Marling.
Favorite books are The Obernewtyn Chronicles by Isobelle Carmody

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being in Bangkok during Songkran was pretty awesome, the atmosphere was amazing :)
Exploring Iceland was amazing. Lying in the grass watching the Northern lights dancing in the sky is something I will never forget.

I am looking to discover other cultures and to understand other ways of life. I enjoy meeting people who share my deep love for this planet, and all of the creatures we share it with, people who are passionate about travel and exploring this beautiful place we call home.
