Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making new friends and experiencing the world through music.
ABOUT ME
I'm a Hong Kong born Canadian living in Montreal as a student of music at McGill University.
My interests change from year to year but currently I'm on an ethnomusical tour of the Balkans. With my tenor tuba on my back I will be checking out an Ethno festival in Bosnia and making my way to Guca Trumpet Festival in Serbia!
In Montreal, I play with a ethno Balkan pop band called Little Suns. If you are interested in artists like Beirut, Taraf de Haidouks, Shantel, or the like, I would invite you to check out our music at www.littlesuns.ca.
I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures, trying new food, impromptu jam sessions, and trying new things. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
PHILOSOPHY
kaizen applied to self

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- busking in the subway in Toronto and not making a cent
- climbed the CN tower 5 times for WWF and United Way
- obtain my private pilots license at 18 through Air Cadets
- played for Prince Charles during his royal visit to Canada 2009
- help produce a concert with grammy-winning violinist James Ehnes (Canadian)
- favourite city: Amsterdam, for the people and "peculiar" dutch culture
- favourite country: Switzerland, for it's scenery and history
- most inspiring experience: seeing live and front row, the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra under Gustavo Dudamel (3/4s of the under-25 classical musicians are under the povertly line in Venezeula; the orchestra is compared to the Berlin Phil..)
too many amazing things I've seen, I'll save the rest for when we meet :)
