ABOUT ME

I grew up in small-town Arkansas, but my horizons are quickly expanding. I'm a college student currently studying abroad in England. Favorite things include good words, dark chocolate, and Sonic Diet Coke with vanilla (currently going through withdrawals). I am passionate about writing, running, travel, and people. When I figure out what to do with my life, the end result will be a combination of those things. I laugh a lot, and I think hugs are the best medicine. The world is big and my life is blessed...I just want to see the sun rise again and again.

PHILOSOPHY

My purpose in life is to glorify my Lord and enjoy Him immensely, to meet people and love them, to look a little more like Jesus every day. Life is such an adventure. It's anything but boring.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently studying abroad in a land far from home, but I would love to have a cup of coffee with any surfers that may come to Liverpool. And I hope to open up my couch once I'm back in Arkansas!

Centres d'intérêt

Writing and words. I have loved books from my first years of life. I am a writer, through and through. I have a dream of someday sitting down in a coffee shop with a big notebook and an even bigger sign that says "Tell Me Your Stories."

Culture. I have a passion for people and culture, and for learning about the two combined. Differences can be beautiful. I want to learn to see the world through God's eyes, to appreciate people as He does. :) Languages are incredible...I want to learn them all but I'll start with Spanish.

Travel. This goes along with culture, but I've got the travel bug in a BAD way. I've been to Guatemala twice, spent the summer in Peru, and have been to England, Ireland, and Scotland this semester. Looking forward to a whirlwind backpacking tour of Europe over Spring Break!

Food. I like to eat it, and I'd love to learn to cook it. Baking is my specialty...especially if it's chocolate.

Running. Partly to counteract the interest in eating, I have been a runner since the 2nd grade when I attempted my first lap around the track. Sometimes I race, but mostly I just run. For fun. For me. Because every mile is a gift. :)
