When I was a little girl I knew I didn’t want to live and die in the same corner of the earth. So the second I could make enough money to go overseas I brought a ticket to London. I spent my days visiting dusty mansions of duchesses from the past and sipping on tea. It was utter perfection. The joy I felt in that trip was so potent and life-changing that I haven’t turned back since. In this next juncture of my travel experience I really would love to see the city from an insiders POV.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After being a solo-traveler that mainly stayed in hostels, I am ready to explore the beauty of couchsurfing. In my travels I have found that some of the best nights and days of my trips have been because I was open to meeting someone in that country/city and having them be gracious enough to show me around. I think through couchsurfing I could learn more about the places I am visiting and get to know the amazing people living there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a huge movie buff some of my favorites include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Way we Were , anything David Fincher, any Queen Latifah movie(because she was and is my acting idol)I have a sick obsession with Jane Austen movies, and by sick obsession I mean I have literally watched spin offs of Jane Austen stories. Honestly, there are many more movies that will suddenly pop into my head the minute I am done typing this. My musical interest span from Classical to RnB to 80s glamrock. Currently obsessed with Anderson Paak because he makes me feel good inside.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A little over a year ago, a friend and mine decided to start a production company called Melanin and Magic Productions. After years of not liking the lack of diversity in storytelling and casting we wanted to tell stories of young black women living in the here and now. Although it took a-lot of hard work we produced our first web-series and are currently in production for a short film by a very talented writer. Film and television have always been art-forms that I've loved and now I have a way to make them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have an extremely bubbly personality and love talking about mostly anything. But I also know when to give someone space and hopefully not impose. I also happen to be a pretty amazing baker (I make fantastic red velvet cupcakes) and have pretty decent taste in wine.
