About Me

Hola! My name is Mechi, Im an Argentinian currently living in France. Im travelling with my friend Lucas around Turkey.

I consider myself an easy-going, friendly and open-minded person. I love meeting new people, sharing our travel stories, and learning about their culture and of course practicing English and French, when i have the chance.

🏕I love to spend time outside and to have meaningful connections. Any invitation to camp in the wild or spend time in nature is an absolutely a yes to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it's a fantastic way of traveling, and the most interesting one: meeting new people, getting to now their culture, sharing your culture, having fun conversations and exploring the place as a local!

Its my first time around here so I don't have any references yet!

Interests

Spending time in nature. Trekking.
Lucas is a chef a chef and we love to spend time in the kitchen cooking.
I'm also a tarot reader, I always travel with my deck of cards, open to learn a little bit more of the esoteric world

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC

Im a fan of Argentinian rock, and open to listen any music recommendation

MOVIES

I love Studio Ghibli movies, my favorite one is "The Spiriting Away of Chihiro"

BOOKS

I love reading books, specially horror or fantasy novels. My favorite novel is "Our share of night" from Mariana Enriquez, an Argentinian writer.

Also I enjoy reading books of another travelers like "Africa Madre" the story of a woman who traveled around Africa for more than a year, or "¿Where are the terrorist?" a book of another Argentinian traveler who expend two months getting to know Iran and Kurdistan

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing experience I had was traveling solo at 19. It was the most scary and amazing thing I did

The second one, was buying a one-way ticket to France with no plans and an open mind to let the country and the Universe surprise me

Teach, Learn, Share

Good talks, fun and laughs. Walking. Hiking.
Both, Lucas and I love cooking and we are both vegans. We would be delighted to cook a meal for our guests and share some of our Argentine culture

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be delighted if I could help my hosts practice Spanish, which is my mother tongue, and share with them what I know about my culture. Also I'd love to share some mates, a traditional South American drink (kind of "tea"), and of course, if you like, a tarot reading!
