About Me

For my own safety I am deleting the information on this profile, and to ensure that people continue to be warned about two very creepy and threatening people I have encountered on Couchsurfing over the past decade. Sadly, the reporting system on Couchsurfing means that when you warn people about the behaviour of other users, they are able to lie on your profile in revenge.

A particularly nasty incident happened to my friend today on Couchsurfing hangouts when two men started to abuse her and even threatened her bf [who does not use couchsurfing], after she asked a spammer to leave the group and rejected the advances of an Italian user [you can see his dishonest revenge review under my reviews].

The story of this individual goes like this: in february 2022, my friend and I decided to use Couchsurfing hangouts to meet so new people. She started a hangout, and one guy joined and started promoting his company. When she asked him to leave he said 'chill sweet heart'. Another couchsurfing user joined and asked who was going tonight. She said 'my friend [me] and my boyfriend'. This user then said 'why does your bf have to come? :('. My friend replied 'because it is not tinder' and I commented that his comment was creepy. He called us 'snakes', said it was a joke, then told her she was ugly. The other couchsurfer that she had asked to leave joined in. We both left the hangout and he changed the name to 'Going to find [my friend's] boyfriend', which I assume was to intimidate her. I reported him to couchsurfing for abuse and harassment [but when i similar situation occurred a year ago they did nothing], and left a review and very predictably he left a review in which he said i was only defending her because I 'wanted something', and made the bizarre claim that I had made 'big insults' [I had said his comment was creepy and nothing else] and 'racist' [litearally, creep is the only thing I said].

If you live in Berlin, be aware of him, and be aware of the aggressive Dutchman I reported a year ago who threatened me after me and his gf agreed to go to a museum together. Couchsurfing needs a way that users can warn one another of these toxic, misogynistic and sad creeps who are scaring both male and female users away and ruining the social aspect. Allowing them to post clear lies, even when the lies could be verified as false by looking at what was posted on the hangouts, and then doing nothing is bad for couchsurfing and makes the community less physically safe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Originally I came her to meet interesting travellers. Now my profile is here to warn people of two very nasty couchsurfers I have met in the last two years.
