ABOUT ME

I'm the founder/editor/webmaster/photographer for a local daily news website here on Hawaii Island. Hawaii247.com I shoot assignments for the Associated Press, New York Times, newspapers and magazines and video for my website, Oahu TV stations and network television. Because I'm always out and about taking photos I know the island pretty well and because I wasn't born on this island it's always an adventure for me too. I've also set-up a few Geocaches and plan to do more in the future (just got my GPS to work again).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend and I have hosted a few CouchSurfers. Haven't surfed over to anybody else's couch yet though I did stay at someone's house at a moment's notice on Molokai and convinced her to join Couchsurfing.

I like many types of music, watch different genres of movies and like to read books though I have been doing a lot of audiobooks since I do a lot of driving.

The most amazing thing I've done is flying over Mauna Loa when it was erupting while leaning out of the open door of a helicopter.
