I have hiked the Olympic Forest, sailed across the Caribbean, attended two presidential inaugural balls, canoed Boquillas Canyon, and hitch-hiked in 6 states.

Earlier this year I sailed through 20+knot winds with a novice helmsman, and it resulted in a broken rudder. I had read in books that the hatch cover could be used to stabilize a heading and even steer. I never imagined I would put that information to use, but it actually worked! It believe it saved our lives...
