Overview
About Me
I like face-to-face interaction and learning about people and languages. Couchsurfing has proved to me to be a good way of achieving this.
I'm a part-time dad to a lovely and loving 12-year-old daughter, who visits and stays with me certain days of the week.
A FAVORITE QUOTE: “Be the change you wish to see in the world". (Gandhi)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To couchsurf (as a guest), I greatly appreciate anything that a local can share with me of their insider insight into the place.
When I can't travel around the world, I bring the world to me by hosting travelers. I like interacting with people while they're on 'travel mode', which is unique and different from normal life interactions. It also keeps reminding me that life itself is also a journey.
Interests
The pleasure of learning, and the other small pleasures life may offer. I like long walks, I work out regularly and care about having a healthy body and mind, and have, to this end, made great progress in the last three years.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: Anything that I can relate to (and) depending on the mood; classical, hip hop, rap, pop, rock, etc.
MOVIES: I, among other things, like sci-fi, historical movies, and stand-up comedy. Examples of what I have enjoyed watching include the movies Her, Interstellar, Gladiator, Spartacus, stand-up comedy (Key & Peele, Louis CK, Tim Minchin, etc.).
BOOKS: The Art of War (by Sun Tzu); The God Delusion (by Richard Dawkins); A History of Western Philosophy (by B. Russell); poetry; etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have climbed mountains as high as 4,000 meters, gone on multiple-day hikes and a multiple-day cycling trip.
I lost 24 kilograms/~53 pounds by working out regularly and counting my calories.
Teach, Learn, Share
My hobby is learning how to pronounce all languages like their native speakers (all the sounds of all languages) :) Couchsurfing , among other things, gives me some first-hand exposure to different languages of the world.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Interesting stories, (knowledge of) languages, and laughs :); I can give you a coffee and we may be able to cook together if your cooking is better than mine ;)
