About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have fun meet new people

ABOUT ME

I'm going to DC to start fresh and since I don't have a date I need to arrive in DC, I've decided to explore the Southern States. I've couch surfed with friends in Austin, Houston, and New Orleans so far, and looking forward to making new friends in Memphis, Birmingham, and Atlanta.

Once I get to DC I'll be pursuing jobs at non-profit advocacy organizations. Trying to make a difference in the world and all that, but right now all I want to do is make a dent in the amount of BBQ in the world and get to know as many interesting people as possible.

*** So I've been in DC a year and a half now. Funny how things don't work out the way you plan. Instead of changing the world I'm working as a financial analyst. Ha. Never thought that would happen. But it's more interesting than I thought and planning to go back to school for econ and statistics.

I'm also getting started in improv which is a ton of fun.

PHILOSOPHY

The unexamined life is not worth living.
Don't worry, be happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I discovered the CS Project on my current road trip so I'm very new.

At the moment I'm just hoping to get involved by meeting and possibly staying with interesting people but as soon as I get to DC I'll be looking to host people.

Interests

Books, Philosophy, Politics-as-sport, interesting architecture, people, dancing, live music.

I'm also very interested in eating awesome local southern food on my trip.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best experiences of my life was driving for two weeks from Santa Fe, NM to Tulum, Mexico which is about an hour south of Cancun (and not nearly as crowded and crazy).

Beautiful beaches, beautiful sunsets, fresh mojito's, dancing to live reggae music on the beach. What else is there?

Skydiving in Lake Elsinore, CA was also unforgettable. Exactly what I imagined flying would feel like.
