ABOUT ME

hi all,
My name is Meegan and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I study environmental management with a focus on conservation/wildlife. I love music and dance, art and photography. My boyfriend and I live in a lovely little unit not far from the city.

PHILOSOPHY

To be inspired by the beauty in the world, by nature, and by people -and yet to be always grateful for the amazing things i have in my own life, beautiful friends, my own achievements, and to be content. Having a little is having enough, is having plenty.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now our space is limited, so sorry - no surfers! If I have time I would be happy to show you around Brisbane. Particularly spanish speakers! I'd love to practice :)
Hopefully we will have a car soon in which case day trips to the bush would definitely be in the plans!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used to host couchsurfers frequently when I lived in Melbourne. I also had a lovely experience as a guest in Launceston.

Interests

Music - mixed but mostly world and folk. I dance flamenco and play some piano and piano accordion.
I'm studying to be an eco-geek! ... sustainability, edible gardens, permaculture, conservation, biology.
Community - I think its often overlooked in busy city life, but its such a good thing! I'm trying to foster it locally.. bring back a bit of the village life.

Flamenco, Italian accordion music, Eastern European folk music, latin/cuban piano, Indian tabla/sitar/bansuri. Reggae on a sunny afternoon. Most all of it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach basic piano and music theory. English, cooking tasty food, making things like sauerkraut and labneh cheese.
