Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore new places, exchange new ideas, affect the world positively in as many ways as I can.
ABOUT ME
I am very passionate about life, nature, reflection and love to spend my time learning (and then teaching!) I have an open mind and an adventurous spirit and try to be as environmentally conscious as I can.
PHILOSOPHY
Examine your beliefs. Every person has a story to tell and a lesson to teach. Never stop learning, reflecting, and improving.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My husband and I and both work M-F (except I don't work much in the summers), but we can occasionally host surfers who would like to visit the beautiful town of Grand Junction.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met some wonderful people through Couchsurfing, and look forward to meeting many more!
Interests
I am interested in being part of the solution in as many ways as I can, and I believe that this site is one way. I enjoy learning about new cultures, having open-minded intellectual discussions, performing (singing), climbing, yoga, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, natural foods and low-impact nutrition, earth-friendly lifestyles, languages, and so much more! There is so much to learn in this life!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: I like a bit of everything, from fiction (Le Petit Prince, Shadows of the Wind, Harry Potter) to non-fiction (Desert Solitaire, Teacher Man, A People's History of the United States, The Web that has no Weaver, Confessions of an Economic Hitman).
Movies: Matrix, Zeitgeist, V for Vendetta, The Concert, Down by Law, Star Trek and Star Wars, Amelie, Pride and Prejudice...again, eclectic tastes.
Music: The most eclectic category of all! I appreciate all sorts of music, including bluegrass, folk, classical (especially Tchaikovsky), opera, jazz, etc.
Poem: Check out "The Invitation" by Oriah Mountain Dreamer.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done is to give birth naturally to my beautiful daughter. I also went skydiving this year!

Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my ideas on teaching, my music, my willingness to try new things. I know plenty of spots to hike, bike, and ski around Colorado and would be happy to give some pointers. I hope to learn about different perspectives, customs, lifestyles, music, ways to cook, history of new places, new and beautiful places to hike, ways to live in more sustainable ways. I would love to do yoga in places with beautiful backdrops.
