CURRENT MISSION

We, Tajin an Georgina, are a couple of anthropologist, but we dedicate our time in conservation and water issues near the place we lived, we enjoy the good company and the small pleasures of life.

ABOUT ME

We are a couple of antrhopologists who live in a small farm nearby Xalapa city, this is a election made after been raised in mega cities as Guadalajara (were (Georgina grew)and Mexico city (were Tajin was born). Now days we find ourself enterely dedicated to our work; a long term project related to rural communities development and sustainable use of natural resources, in the region we live. We do this together with friends devoted to find alternatives to problems related to poverty and destruction of environment, we are organiced in a small non governamental organization Called SENDAS (integrated by biologysts, social psicologyst, and antrhopologist as well). Our work in SENDAS is closer to a mission we belive in, than a simple job.

We strongly belive in the necesity of finding new ways to relate among humans and with the nature, traveling is a way to know other forms of doing things around the world; diversity in culture, ways to think, understand and be in this planet is a richness were minkind can find tools and answers to our ongoing problems. That is why we like to travel in a different fashion than using hotels and conventional turistic means. As well recieving visitors to our home is intersting to us, since gives the opportunity to share what me have, know and what we are.

Besides our work in SENDAS, we like all sort of cultural expression not so closely related to commercial products. We love traditional music of all around the world, as well as rock, mostly that were global music meets local music.

We have traveled a lot in Mexico, were we had lived in several indigenous regions, so any one who is interested in Mexico may find interesting advices froms us about were to go.
