ABOUT ME

Just to be clear, this is actually a profile of two people, Michael and Zhenia. Since we'd be hosting together we also decided to share the couchsurfing profile (or rather Zhenia to join Michael's)...
We are nice, openminded and funny. (that's what we believe at least...)
not really "cool" (no dreads or the sort of things); always busy, always overworked (even if there isn't anything to do). Interested in virtually everything. Rather settled, but about once a month we feel like dancing through the night. And of course no idea what to become in the future...even though in recent years there are some hints...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Michael was off the couch for quite while. Yet now I've moved out of home and to Mannheim and thus we are back with a vengeance. All there for showing people around the city.

In Tlse we had a Cs-Flat of 3 Csers. (sometimes hosting up to 4 host simultaneously). Nadia is my personal Cheesus; Anja and Evan were great guests, SOFPOL was a great host.
one interim result: I am REALLY easy to handle. Just tell me openly what is most suitable for you and just do not worry about me. I can find my way in a foreign city and you really do not need to show me around or anything. Just tell me where to go and where not to go and I will be fine. ( I even tend to like being on my own or having the time to sit down in a cafe and just read...). the story is different if you like showing me your city or your preferred night club. then I will be very glad to join you...
Same if you are my guest. Just tell me what you want or need, I will help you, but I will also tell you if I cannot do it for you...

Sunrises: Mazunte, Karnian Alps (many more); sunsets: La Reunion, in Ukr Rail over Dnjepr, Mannheim from my office ;-) etc.;
the 6h ride through the Chiapas mountains (on the roof of a small truck); the zapatistas and the social fighters of Puebla and Oaxaca...

We'd love to hear interesting stories about other parts of the world, particularly the countries surrounding the black sea...
trying to learn to be very open and honest, even at occasions where it might be a bit unpleasant: the important thing is to communicate and to say things honestly; otherwise the solution of some (latent) conflict is never going to be the best (still working on that one though...).

(mostly michael:) capitalism is a system full of dirt and exploitation, which eats up all our natural ressources and is a pain in the ass for EVERYBODY...UPDATE: so far so good; now after some thinking one has to admit that other systems in the past weren't much better and that there remains some more thinking to be done, to come up with sth good...

Finally allow me (that's Michael) a quick remark on my spelling.
